wisteria love
Wisteria is blooming everywhere around me right now. It's kind of strange, because I lived here all last Spring too, and somehow I failed to take note of this beautiful flower. I'm pretty observant, but I just don't remember the world looking like this last April! Maybe spending 12+ hours in cinderblock rooms without windows every day has just made me that much more appreciative of the natural world. In any case, wisteria is one of my new favorite things. I've been wanting to take some pictures of it for a couple of weeks and just didn't have time to make it happen. So when I discovered (yesterday) that there was a bunch of it growing right behind my building, I had to have a little photo shoot. I still want to get some more pictures in other locations and with better light, but I was pleasantly surprised at how some of these turned out (post-iphoto editing, that is), so I thought I'd share. :)

unholy week
So, clearly I failed miserably at "blogging for Lent." It wasn't one of my best ideas, I have to say. I've amassed a huge list of blog ideas that should be explored and recorded, but actually doing it seems like work. So when I contemplate trying to write, all I can think of is how I have so much "real" work to do, so if I'm going to feel like I'm working, I may as well do something school related. Pathetic, I know. As if dedication to discipleship is less productive? I'm rather ashamed of my failure. I suck.
But then again, I guess that's the point. I suck, and that's why I need Jesus. And that's why I'm thankful for the resurrection.
Happy Easter.
